FPO Development

Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) are farmer-owned collective enterprises created to help small and marginal farmers work together as a stronger economic unit. By organizing farmers into formal groups, FPOs improve access to quality inputs, technical support, finance, storage, processing, and direct markets. FPOs are built around the principle of collective strength. Farmer-members jointly participate in production planning, aggregation, grading, value addition, marketing, and business decision-making, allowing them to achieve benefits that are difficult to secure individually.
